How Does laser vaginal rejuvenation Work?
One of the many laser treatments offered by the Skin & Laser Surgery Center of New England is laser vaginal rejuvenation. Laser vaginal rejuvenation uses a specifically designed laser device to promote increased blood flow and collagen production throughout the vaginal canal. Treatment is conducted at the office and begins with a minor pelvic exam. The laser probe is then inserted into the vaginal canal where energy penetrates approximately .5 mm into the vaginal mucosa. This depth is necessary for collagen rebuilding, and collagen rebuilding is necessary for a firmer tissue.
What is labiaplasty?
Labiaplasty is a minor surgical procedure that contours the external genitalia in order to create symmetry or to reduce size. Sometimes, the labia minora hangs below the labia majora. This may cause a woman to feel dissatisfied with the appearance of this area of her body. It may also pose clear and present physical discomfort with clothing, or embarrassment in public.
